The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Dec 31, 2023What I love about the enneagram is that it lays everything out on the table—the good, the bad, the ugly—and shows us how our strengths in excess can become the very things holding us back.
Hear me out. Enneagrams don't explain anything revolutionary but rather bring light to the things we already perceive. All of us personally know someone who is driven and burns the midnight oil every chance they get…and is probably so driven that they wear themselves out and don’t have time for the other priorities of life. On the other side of the spectrum, we know someone whose "go-with-the-flow" attitude brings a sense of harmony and calm to every situation…and who struggles to be motivated and assert themselves when you need it. Our strengths and our weaknesses are not two separate parts of us, but the same parts of us—the same gift—out of balance.
By making the subconscious conscious, the enneagram gives us a roadmap to intentionally tapping into the best parts of ourselves while bringing awareness to ways we’re predisposed to fall short. These “shadow” sides of ourselves are not be ignored, because they are the same parts of us that uniquely affect the world around us. The question is, are we affecting our world for the better?
I’ve love to help you walk this journey to self-discovery and build an attainable path to your goals. The first session is on me! I’m looking forward to getting to know you, all the parts of you, and helping you become not just balanced, but whole.
